What does the position look like?
The workshop manager is responsible for all work that needs to be done to ensure that the workshop and all projects to be carried out function properly, both in the workshop and on location to:
- Recording/measuring work for clients
- Making calculations in collaboration with the management
- Keeping track of employees' hours and writing time sheets
- Entry and exit inspections of incoming goods and the goods/products/orders manufactured by the company
- Making plans for the assignments
- Making work sketches/drawings and explaining the work to the staff and assigning the staff
- Taking care of all work required to maintain the VCA** and ISO 9002 certificate
- Arranging toolbox meetings and customer satisfaction surveys.
- Compliance with/ensuring all legal obligations for the municipality, province and national government (including steam services and guidelines for pressure equipment and all occupational health and safety matters)
- Making KAM plans etc. for the projects
- The cooperating workshop manager is expected to open in the morning and/or close in the evening if necessary. He must carry out his work in the time it takes, he organizes his work himself and, if necessary, he stays a little longer or arrives earlier. Only extreme overtime is reimbursed.
